How Cardiac Lauren Works: Online Phase 4 Cardiac Rehabilitation Classes

Discover how Cardiac Lauren helps you exercise safely, build confidence and stay motivated with expert-led online cardiac rehabilitation classes.

By Lauren Walker, Level 4 BACPR Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise Specialist.

Cardiac Lauren is an online Phase 4 cardiac rehabilitation membership, led by a BACPR Level 4-qualified exercise specialist, for adults recovering from a heart attack, heart surgery or other cardiac condition. Members get two new pre-recorded classes weekly, a monthly timetable and ongoing support from a qualified instructor.

Starting or returning to exercise after a heart attack, heart surgery or a heart diagnosis can feel overwhelming.

Many people tell me they’re unsure where to begin, worry about exercising on their own or simply don’t know which exercises are safe for them.

That’s exactly why I created Cardiac Lauren.

Cardiac Lauren is much more than an online exercise programme. It’s a supportive membership designed to help you exercise safely, improve your confidence and become part of a friendly community of people who understand what you’re going through.

Whether you’ve recently completed cardiac rehabilitation or you’re looking for a long-term way to stay active, Cardiac Lauren gives you the guidance, flexibility and support to keep moving.

Who is Cardiac Lauren suitable for?

Cardiac Lauren has been designed for adults who want to exercise safely after a heart condition or cardiac event, while receiving ongoing support from a qualified cardiac rehabilitation exercise specialist.

Many of my members have experienced one or more of the following:

  • Heart attack (myocardial infarction)
  • Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery
  • Heart valve repair or replacement surgery
  • Coronary angioplasty and stent insertion
  • Stable angina
  • Atrial fibrillation (AF)
  • Heart failure
  • SCAD (Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection)
  • Cardiomyopathy
  • Congenital heart conditions
  • Other forms of heart disease

Many members join after completing their NHS or community Phase 3 cardiac rehabilitation programme, while others have been exercising with me for many years as part of their long-term Phase 4 cardiac rehabilitation.

The classes are suitable for a wide range of fitness levels. Whether you’re just starting to rebuild your confidence or have been exercising for years, you’ll find a variety of class lengths, themes and intensities to suit your individual needs.

Every class is designed to help you exercise safely while encouraging you to work at your own pace. I regularly explain how to make exercises easier or more challenging, so you can adapt each workout to match how you’re feeling on that particular day.

If you’re returning after illness, surgery, injury or a short break from exercise, I’m always happy to help you choose the most appropriate classes and guide you back into exercising safely.

Please note: Cardiac Lauren is designed for people whose healthcare team has advised that they are medically stable and ready to exercise. If you’re unsure whether the programme is suitable for you, or if you’ve recently experienced new or worsening symptoms, it’s important to speak with your GP, cardiac rehabilitation team or cardiologist before starting.

What do you get as a Cardiac Lauren member?

Your membership includes much more than exercise videos.

You’ll have access to:

  • Two new exercise classes every week
  • A growing library of pre-recorded exercise classes
  • Monthly exercise timetables
  • Weekly newsletters
  • A supportive WhatsApp community
  • Educational video chats
  • Exercise guidance from me whenever you need it
  • Flexible classes to suit different fitness levels, heart conditions and abilities

Everything is designed to help you make exercise part of your everyday life.

Two new exercise classes every week

Every Tuesday and Friday, I release two brand-new exercise classes.

Because the classes are pre-recorded, there’s no pressure to exercise at a particular time. You can complete them whenever it suits you.

Some members enjoy exercising first thing in the morning, while others prefer afternoons or evenings.

The choice is yours.

Better still, the classes remain available, so you can repeat your favourites as often as you’d like.

A monthly timetable so you can plan ahead

At the beginning of every month, I publish a timetable showing all the classes that will be released.

This allows you to:

  • Plan your exercise routine
  • Look forward to your favourite class themes
  • Build variety into your weekly programme
  • Stay motivated throughout the month

Many members tell me they enjoy seeing what’s coming next and planning which classes they’ll complete each week.

A supportive WhatsApp community

One of the things members value most is our private WhatsApp Community.

Living with a heart condition can sometimes feel lonely, especially if family and friends haven’t experienced the same journey.

Our community gives members a place to encourage one another, ask questions and share experiences.

Within the community you’ll find several dedicated groups.

Announcements

This is where I post information about:

  • New class releases
  • Monthly timetables
  • Website updates

Healthy eating can sometimes feel confusing.

Our Nutrition group allows members to share:

Atrial Fibrillation (AF) Support

Many members live with atrial fibrillation (AF), and it can often feel reassuring to speak with people who truly understand.

Members discuss:

  • Their experiences
  • Coping strategies
  • Questions they’ve asked their healthcare teams
  • Things they’ve personally found helpful

It’s important to remember that everyone’s heart condition is different, so conversations are about sharing experiences rather than replacing medical advice.

Heart Failure Support

For members living with heart failure, this dedicated group provides a supportive environment to discuss day-to-day life.

People often talk about:

  • Managing fatigue

  • Updates from cardiac rehabilitation research
  • Information I’ve learned from professional webinars and conferences
  • Practical advice to support your heart health

You can watch these videos whenever it suits you.

Exercise programmes for every stage of recovery

Not everyone joins Cardiac Lauren at the same point in their journey.

That’s why the website offers different sections to suit different needs.

If you’re just finishing cardiac rehabilitation, you may enjoy revisiting the earlier Phase 3-style exercise videos.

If you’re building your daily activity, the WalkFit sessions are a great way to increase your step count while staying motivated.

And of course, you’ll have access to the full range of Cardiac Lauren exercise classes covering:

  • Cardiovascular fitness
  • Resistance training
  • Balance
  • Mobility
  • Stretching
  • Relaxation
  • Low, moderate and higher-intensity workouts

Every class also includes a full warm-up and cool-down, gradually preparing your body for exercise and helping you recover safely afterward.

Finding the perfect class is easy

With hundreds of classes available, I want it to be simple to find exactly what you’re looking for.

You can search classes by:

  • Theme
  • Exercise intensity
  • Class length
  • Whether weights are used
  • Whether the class is seated
  • Whether a chair is required
  • The month it was released

You can also save your favourite classes to create your own personal exercise library.

Accessible for everyone

Every exercise video includes optional captions.

This makes the classes easier to follow if you’re hard of hearing, prefer reading instructions or simply want additional support during the workout.

Ongoing support from me

One of the biggest differences between Cardiac Lauren and many online exercise programmes is that you’re never left to work things out on your own.

If you’re unsure which class to choose or have questions about exercising, you can contact me in whichever way feels easiest.

You can:

  • Leave comments beneath videos
  • Send a message through the website
  • Contact me via WhatsApp
  • Email me
  • Call me directly
Support, assistance, guidance with cardiac lauren

I regularly help members who are:

  • Returning after illness
  • Recovering from an injury
  • Building confidence after a break from exercise
  • Progressing to a new level of exercise
  • Unsure which classes are most suitable for them

Sometimes, all it takes is a little guidance to help you feel confident again.

Exercise that never becomes boring

One of the reasons members stay with Cardiac Lauren for years is the variety.

You’ll find classes of different:

  • Lengths
  • Intensities
  • Themes
  • Exercise styles
  • Equipment options

This means you can choose the class that best matches your energy levels, confidence and mood on any given day.

No two weeks are ever quite the same.
